“Wildflower Wander” Beginner Friendly Hiking Adventure in Three Ridges Wilderness Area

Take an enchanting stroll into the nearby National Forest in search of the spring season’s wildflowers. Three Ridges Touring owner and adventure guide, Laura Wolf will lead you into the heart of nature in Three Ridges Wilderness from Love Gap on the Blue Ridge Parkway. From delicate blossoms to hardy forest flowers, come discover some of the region’s diverse flora! The most stunning showcase will be the mountain laurel and rhododendrons, among other fascinating flowers. Hiking distance will be approximately 3 miles with gentle climbing grades and no sustained climbing. Plan to spend about 2 hours in the woods. This is a perfect ‘first time’ hike. No previous hiking experience necessary. Grab some comfortable shoes and come on a Wildflower Wander! Note: In the event of inclement weather, the backup date is Sunday, April 28.
