Special Event at Oakland Museum

Oakland Museum celebrates the publication of “Historic Homes and Properties Tours, Nelson County, VA” with an open house featuring a book signing by editor Becky Howard, long-time Nelson County Historical Society Board member and homes tour captain. The comprehensive 135-page book showcases houses and other historic buildings from 26 years of historic homes and properties tours in Nelson. It includes color photographs of each property at the time of the tour with information on general location, year built and associated families. Ms. Howard will be joined by other historic homes tour captains from years past who will answer questions and sign copies of the book. It is available for purchase for $25 and it can be purchased at other times in the museum store or online at www.nelsonhistorical.org.
