Nelson County Community Orchestra Spring Concert at Rockfish Valley Community Center

Experience the pastoral innocence of harmonious life with Nelson County Community Orchestra musicians performing “Arcadia: The Pastoral Spirit” Spring 2025 Concert, under the direction of Daniel Esperante. Music selections include “Going Home” – Largo from the New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak, “Beseda” Czech Dance Suite arranged by Robert Bauernschmidt, “Dance of the Tumblers” from Snow Maiden by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakoff, “Star Wars (Main Theme)” by John Williams, “Hungarian Dance No.5” by Johannes Brahms and “The Syncopated Clock” by Leroy Anderson. Also, featuring NCCO soloist, Jack Teeter on French Horn performing the 2nd movement, Andante from Horn Concerto No. 2 in Eb major K.417 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and NCCO’s Cello Trio performing “Deep River” Op. 19, No 1, a traditional negro spiritual arranged by William A. Fisher. Admission is free; donations are accepted. New members are always welcome!
